The story

A career spent getting power to people.

As technology evolves and AI plays a role, you’ll be able to change the way you use power in an instant. The sooner businesses move, the sooner they can take advantage of this shift.

Harry Chami, for Smart Commercial Energy

Harry Chami is an award-winning renewable energy executive and strategic growth leader with more than fifteen years across solar, battery storage and clean energy technologies. As Senior Sales and Strategy Manager at Solar Juice, one of Australia’s largest solar and battery wholesalers, he has helped shape the market through strategic partnerships, market development and industry education.

His work reaches well beyond Australia. Across New Zealand and the Pacific Islands he supports renewable energy training, electrification initiatives and energy access programs built to leave communities more resilient and self-sufficient, often replacing diesel generators with reliable solar and storage at the medical and educational facilities people depend on.

The thread through all of it is a simple conviction: reliable, affordable energy should never be limited by geography. Recognised as the 2026 Smart Energy Emerging Leader, Harry keeps pushing the clean energy transition outward, to every roof and every community that has waited too long for it.

What he does

Six fronts of the same mission.

From a single rooftop to an entire island, the goal never changes: reliable, affordable power in more hands, in more places.

  • Residential, commercial and utility-scale solar paired with storage from the world’s leading manufacturers, sized to keep the lights on long after sunset.

  • Supply relationships with global technology leaders, including a landmark one gigawatt module agreement that strengthened supply for the Australian market.

  • Expanding renewable energy access across the Pacific, from Papua New Guinea to the Tiwi Islands, swapping diesel dependence for clean, dependable power.

  • Reliable, affordable power for remote and underserved communities, on the principle that the clean energy transition must not be limited to a select few.

  • Installer training, roadshows and capacity building that grow a skilled renewable workforce and lift the standard of the whole sector.

  • Home energy management, grid resilience and decarbonisation, helping households and businesses take control of how they make and use power.

The work

Power that reaches people.

Not slides and forecasts, but systems on roofs and in communities. A few of the projects that show what connecting people to sustainable power looks like in practice.

Community01

Solar for Ronald McDonald House, Orange

An 8.32 kW rooftop solar system donated to Ronald McDonald House in Orange, New South Wales, a collaboration between Solar Juice, Trina Solar, Tigo Energy and Dynamic Solar. The savings, expected to run into thousands of dollars a year, are redirected straight back into supporting families staying close to their children in hospital.

Off-grid02

Powering the Pacific beyond the grid

Solar and storage delivered to remote communities across the Pacific Islands and northern Australia, bringing steady power to medical clinics and schools that once ran on diesel. Reliable energy in these places is not a convenience, it is the difference in what a community can do.
